Abstract: The article focuses on differences in referential and expressive children’s language acquisition. The reasons of why pedagogues need to know these differences and various possibilities of revealing these differences, e.g. a possibility of showing up “typological” differences on basis of testing children’s inclination to independent lexical-semantic overgeneralization, are discussed.
