A justice of conscience (about a poem of S. Yesenin "The Black Man")

Abstract: A poem The Black man is considered as a major period in development of a main plot in a mature creation of S. Yesenin - a drama of man's soul in the age of revolutionary demolition. A lyrical hero and his self-disclosure in the poem's plot are placed in the centre of attraction. Ways of representation of the lyrical hero's psychological state, a function of the Black man image, features of poetical world of the work are analyzed thoroughly. Author's thoughts about poem's conception as a maximum sincere and artistically reliable self-judgement, about man's soul limits and a tragedy of soul conclude the article.
