Abstract: Researcher refers to the story by B. Pelnyak ''The story of The Unextinguished Moon", the most representative for students' understanding of the writer's creative individuality. Analyzing the system of characters, the plot, the system of motives, the theme of the work and the poetics as a whole the author creates the logic of studying the difficult text by pupils.
