Abstract: On a sample of Elysianintertext in Russian poetry of the end of the 20 th century (A. Kushner, L. Losev, I. Brodsky, Yu. Kublanovskii) the article regards the main authors’ strategies of the appeal to classical text: from timid dialogue and latent polemics to ironic alienation. Literary myth about Elysium, formed in Romantic poetry, has been revalued, often paradoxically. Dialogue with the literary tradition of Pushkin’s epoch become a media for literary self-identification for the 20 th century poets.
