Abstract: F. M. Dostoevsky as a writer made an invaluable contribution to the development of world culture, his artistic works broadcast humanistic ideals and timeless values, and there are admonitions for future generations. The author’s literary heritage is traditionally studied in the context of poetics; in the system of methods and means of creating an artistic image important is the role of Visual Poetics. The visual in the literature has been all-rounded explored, but some aspects remain unsolved in general, and in the F. M. Dostoyevsky's oeuvre in particular. One such issue is visual aspects of other’s view. The article is devoted to the actual theme within the framework of visuality problems — the phenomenon of other’s view in the novel «Crime and Punishment» by F. M. Dostoevsky. The other’s view in author's artistic works is defined as subject’s optical focus to some not identical him object and as subject’s manner to look at alienately (to look someone else's eyes). Features of the observing phenmenon determine the choice of an interdisciplinary approach to the analysis and classification of other’s view in the artistic work of the writer. The methodological basis is works of M. M. Bakhtin, N. A. Berdyaev, B. Waldenfels, M. Jones, R. Lachmann, A. B. Krinitsyn, S. L. Frank etc. In present article the other’s view is researched in the context of communication. Different types of other’s views in the novel «Crime and Punishment» are presented in the speech of the characters and the narrator as a reflection or observation «from the outside». In relation to the artistic reality stand out real and imaginary other’s views. The results of the study complement the existing fundamental concepts about the heritage of F. M. Dostoyevsky, can be useful in the analysis of the writer's artistic prose, teaching the relevant literary disciplines (both in the main disciplines and special courses and elective courses) in higher educational establishment. Some data can be considered in the framework of psychological or pedagogical specialties in the planning of correctional and developmental, educational work with different population’s categories (psychological practice with using techniques of the Bibliotherapy). A researching of the other’s view allows expanding interpretation and analysis the novel «Crime and punishment». This idea requires further consideration on base of the fiction prose of the writer.
