The White Spots and Myths in the History of Russian Literature of the Soviet Era (1920)

Abstract: The article analyzes the most controversial period of development in Russian literature of the Soviet era: its gaps and myths. The author's attention is directed primarily to the first decade after October. There he reveals such difficulties as ideological and political diktat, the absence of a complete picture of the literary process in the Civil War, polemical character of proclaimed ideals of the revolution and the new art, censored philology etc. The author`s concludes that literature of the studied period needs reconsideration.
