Appraisive context of language game in literary text (based on early stories by Tatyana Tolstaya)

Abstract: Different appraisive directions of language game are analysed in the article. Play upon words is considered as linguistic creative code of literary text. There are three basic points of play upon words: immitative, allusive and image-bearing euristic, which are the foundations for revelation of system appraisals and values, important for author, in representation of literary reality.
