Paul I in lyrical reflection of G.R. Derzhavin

Abstract: The article is devoted to G.R. Derzhavin’s perception of the emperor Paul I and its reflections in his lyrics. G.R. Derzhavin was a success at creating a fast-moving word picture of a modern monarch. This picture is marked by author’s evaluation formed during the private contacts of a monarch and a poet.
