French Symbolism in Russian: An Analysis of Poet`s Individual Style in Translations of the Poem by P. Verlaine “Il pleure dans mon coeur...”

Abstract: There is analyze of different symbolist poets’ translations of the poem by P. Verlaine “II pleure dans mon coeur...” in this article. The author demonstrates that symbolists retain their own main motives and commitment to their favorite symbols and colors, translating poems. Furthermore, the analysis of lexical and phonosemantic levels of the poems is made to discover deeper differences and similarities between the translations.
