Turgenev’s “Pechorin of Small Amounts” (“Fathers and Sons”)

Abstract: The article examines the role of allusions to the “Hero of Our Time” in Turgenev’s novel, Pavel Kirsanov’s relatedness with Pechorin, allowing to reveal hidden contradictoriness of Turgenev’s character. Comprehension of the depth of older Kirsanov’s personality leads to the conclusion not only about the world outlook contradiction between Bazarov and Pavel Petrovich, but also about equivalency of these characters.
