Abstract: In article the story “My Confession” of N. M. Karamzin as work the laid foundation of tradition of the image of the hero of our time is considered. M. Yu. Lermontov makes use of Karamzin’s experience in creation of an image of “the strange person” in the novel “Hero of Our Time”.
