Abstract: The review presents a comprehensive analysis of collective monograph aimed at studying the phenomenon of isolation as a special, polyphonically presented literary situation, the boundaries of which are formed under the influence of a whole complex of phe- nomena that give rise to specific mechanisms of creativity. The material presented analyzes productive philological strategies for studying various forms of isolation described by the team of authors, as well as the facets of literary creativity inherent in this phenomenon, reflected in the scholarly writings of the authors. Based on analytical observations, conclusions are drawn about private, peripheral, background, as well as typologically generalized, strategic manifestations of isolation, which include the specificity of the sociocultural situation and the individual state of the author, transferred to the individual characteristics of the author’s personality.
