The One Who is Talented, Should Have a Purer Soul" (the Study of Nikolai Gogol "The Portrait" in the 8th Grade)

Abstract: The article contains a system of lessons in studying Nikolai Gogol's "The Portrait" in the 8th grade of a middle school. Step by step logic of each of the lessons - interviews is offered here. Gogol's story is seen as a product of State responsibility for the artist's own talent, the product is compared with "Portrait of Dorian Gray" O. Wilde.
