The Lost Tram and the Ship - Phantoms

Abstract: In the article one of Gumilev's the most famous poems The lost tram is interpreted. Gumilev's text is analyzed in a wide context of world poetry; the author of the article considers an image of a tram to be close to images of the ship -phantoms, in particular to The Flying Dutch.
