Borodino Field - Borodino: On the Problem of M.Y. Lermontov's Self-Repetitions

Abstract: The article undertakes a comparative analysis of twin poems created by M.Y. Lermontov at different times. The principal feature of reconsidering the scheme is manifest, first of all, on the subject organization level of the literary work, which points towards the direction of the poet's creative evolution. The emergence of the image of a role hero exemplified by the narrator in Borodino testifies to the ripening of realistic tendencies in Lermontov's lyric poetry.
