Russian Literature in the Perception of Foreign Specialists in Russian Philology (Based on the Sofia Conferences 2013– 2014)

Abstract: Overview of conferences held in recent years by the Bulgarian specialists in Russian philology, shows the directions of Russian classics study abroad. Next problem areas identified: the canon of Russian classics, historical dynamics, Russian literature in the context of a foreign culture, the anniversary of the writer and its role in the formation of the canon, the methodological base of modern Russian studies, the problem of school and university study of Russian literature in both Russia and abroad.
