Contemporary Literature for the School Lessons: «About the Music» by N. Dashevskaya

Abstract: The article discusses the compositional originality of the book «About a Music» (2015) by N. Dashevskaya, the «chord» structure of the book, when two-three stories form a unity on the level of private motives and plot situations. Tht article concentrated on the semantic content of the motif of «path» in N. Dashevskaya's stories. The author emphasizes that the main characters of the book are teenagers shown in the situation of journey: they go, come, and wander through the city, alone or with someone. The semantics of the way in the book is rich. A path is an opportunity to sink into yourself, and the way to see the unusual in something usual. A path allows you to get rid of painful doubts and to understand who you really are. Any journey allows the teenager to come to terms with the situation and to make a choice. The article proposes questions and tasks for the organization of the lesson on the book by N. Dashevskaya in the form of seminars, taking into account the interests of the modern pupils. The proposed lesson focuses on the "eternal" themes which are relevant for the writer: home, love, family. The author of the article offers specific topics for writing essays, reflections on the book by Dashevskaya.
