Abstract: The developed analysis of the collection (conference “The theory and history ekphrasis: results and studying prospects” [Poland, Siedlce, 25–on May, 26th 2017]) are in given article. The author of research has paid attention not discrepancy of the term “ekphrasis”. The term “ekphrasis” possesses the big semantic potential, therefore term borders are absent in a modern philological science. The reviewed collection reveals scientific problems, these problems are connected with understanding of the term. Ekphrasis finds out “imperial ambitions” and aspires to replace with itself other concepts. The difficult structure of the collection finds out impossibility of classification of a material. However the term is claimed modern литературоведческой by a science because ekphrasis describes the latent structure of the text. In the review the author addresses to the most important researches which have entered into various sections of the collective monography.
