Abstract: The review is devoted to the collective monograph “Boris Ryzhy: Research and Materials” published by N. L. Bystrov and T. A. Arsenova. (Moscow; Ekaterinburg: Kabinetnyi Uchenyi). Despite the fact that Ryzhy is currently one of the most well-studied poets of the turn of the 20th–21st centuries, the authors of the monograph make an attempt to discover new aspects in the study of the work of the Ural poet. This also applies to the identification of ontological constants in the poetry of Ryzhy and the designation of figurative series and intertextual contexts, and the study of metrics and the search and supply of scientific comments on materials that are directly related to the poet but have not been previously published or were published in inaccessible sources. The monograph largely captures the shift in the study of the life and work of the poet towards a deeper study of biographical and historical-literary contexts, and their Ekaterinburg layer in particular.
